Después de cuatro películas (contando esta), es una tontería andarse con rodeos. Todos sabemos lo que nos podemos esperar de esta primera parte de Amanecer, lo bueno y lo malo. Así que hacer sangre de la saga y de esta entrega no es de rigor. Y no lo es por dos motivos: el primero es porque Crepúsculo es un fenómeno que trasciende más allá de las películas y muchos críticos no terminan de comprender esto. Mejores o peores, estas películas han logrado el más difícil todavía en los tiempos de las descargas ilegales, llenar las salas. Este es un valor que hay que apreciar como es debido. Y el otro, porque estamos ante la mejor parte de la franquicia.

 

 

La historia es harta conocida gracias a los trailers «spoileros» y una promoción eterna en la que el equipo no ha dejado de soltar perlas sobre el argumento. Por ello tampoco es preciso detenerse demasiado en él. Una boda, un embarazo y un parto. Si el último libro se ha podido dividir en dos, esta primera película podría dividirse en otras dos partes bien diferenciadas: la boda y el embarazo.

 

La boda resulta menos emotiva de lo que sería de esperar dada la importancia que tiene para los personajes y la historia y sirve para reunir al universo de la saga y apuntar algún conflicto futuro, pero poco más. El toque cómico también hace su aparición (no todo tiene porque ser tan dramático) en forma de discursos que a muchos les recordará a la reciente Bridemaids. Aún así, poca sustancia encontramos en esta fase del film.

 

El enlace no es más que un prólogo para lo que viene después. El embarazo de Bella y las consecuencias que este puede acarrear son el centro de la historia, lo que genera el conflicto una vez más, entre lobos y vampiros. La dinámica es la misma que en las anteriores películas. Sin embargo, hay aspectos que se han mejorado bastante.

 

 

El más importante es el referente a los personajes. Después de cuatro entregas por fin parece que el trío protagonista evoluciona. La angustia y el espíritu emo que les había acompañado hasta ahora (sobre todo a Kristen Stewart) se matiza un poco y vemos otro tipo de emociones en ellos. Dentro de la interminable tragedia shakesperiana en la que siempre han vivido surge un rayo de luz y el público no fan lo va a agradecer mucho.

 

Por otra parte, la acción pasa a un segundo plano y aún así la película resulta más entretenida que las anteriores, logra mantener el interés en todo momento y conocedora de sus limitaciones en efectos visuales, se ayuda de los movimientos de cámaras para no mostrar más que lo imprescindible. Además, propios y extraños se sorprenderán con la secuencia de la famosa cesárea, que logra mantener la tensión en todo momento.

 

Amanecer es lo que uno se espera, con sus frases lapidarias y sonrojantes, su defensa de la virtud hasta el matrimonio, sus efectos de mercadillo y todo lo que se le quiera tirar a la cara. Pero eso sí, a los fans les encantará y a quienes decidan concederle una oportunidad, les sorprenderá gratamente. Sin miedo a equivocarme, es la mejor entrega de la saga hasta el momento y, lo más importante, eleva el interés por descubrir el desenlace.
